I'm really having trouble with eye shadow.. any tips??

I'm not sure if i should put colors on? or like hardly any or a lot. I'm not your typical girlie girl. any tips?I'm really having trouble with eye shadow.. any tips??

make sure you can at least see the colour you're using.


also the colour of your shadow can bring out the colour of your eyes

I wear lighter shades during the day, go darker at night. Don't over do though. The whole idea is to accentuate your eye color, not look like a clown.

depends on what color your eyes are and hair color.


as a not so girlie girl myself, i use a bronzer for eye shadow. i have blondish brown hair, and blue-green eyes. dont use a lot. and if you use a brown ish, make it like blend with your skin. it really looks good. and just accents your eyes.

defiantly stick to a powder, in a simple, natural color


don't try anthing funny products like the eye shadow sticks or anything


also a smokey eye is really simple, even for beginners and all you need is a gray or dark brown and a light tan and start with thedarkk and then start to layer the lighter above it. and if you pair this with a simple lip of nude color you wont look ';too girly'; you will just looks like yourself only your eyes will be bigger and a lot brighter.. also use a liner on your top lid and not so much on your bottom, it will open up your eyes, and to keep them looking bright try not to line the inside of your eyes, especially notwitht black, that is a huge mistake and it will make your eyes looks smaller

if you are going to use color don't use obnoxious colors because the whole point of wearing make up is to enhance your features without people knowing you are wearing it. so use natural colors. start with a skin tone color and apply it all over your eye from lashes to eyebrow. the use a bit of a darker color and apply it on your lid. then in the crease on the outer half use a dark color and blend it. if you want it to be a bit more dramatic you can use a dark color and apply it like you would eyeliner just above your eyelashes and use it on the bottom blending it into the lash line. hope this helped.

well if ur not so girly i would stick to to browns. plus it looks better then bright colors lol
well, some people like it to look more neutral, and some people like it to stand out and be noticed. If you want it neutral, then lighten it up. To stand out, darken it.





Also, for colors, it depends on what color of eyes you have.





Green eyes: Purple will bring out the green in your eyes.





Blue: Browns are best.





Brown: gold and cream colors work really well.
